It’s official: The Apple Watch is going to be 2015’s most fashionable accessory whether we like it or not.
Vogue China just made the watch its November cover star, as an embrace and endorsement of the Apple Watch being the next big thing in the style world. Editorial director Angelica Cheung said in a press release this morning: “As the very first fashion publication to feature the recently launched Apple Watch on its cover, Vogue China is following in the Vogue tradition of moving with the times, giving our readers the first glimpse of a pioneering piece of technology that also doubles as a highly covetable fashion accessory.”
The cover features Liu Wen, photographed by David Simon, wearing the smaller 38-millimeter Apple Watch in 18-carat yellow gold. It looks ladylike, high-end, and, well, wearable against Wen’s Céline ensemble. But in all fairness: What wouldn’t look good when accompanied by some Céline?
