Calvin Klein Was the Biggest NYFW Show on Social Media

With an assist from Justin Bieber, Calvin Klein made it to the top of the list of the most socially influential brands this past New York Fashion Week. WWD reports that the most retweeted moment of the week was the pop star’s appearance at Fashion Rocks in Calvin Klein underwear. But the brand’s runway show also clinched the top spot, ahead of Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors. A study by Fohr Card, which tracks blogger data, found that the group of bloggers it tracks created 494 posts about the show, with 9.7 million total impressions. This isn’t necessarily a measure of overall reach, but of influence, explained Fohr Card co-founder James Nord. “More people are talking about Michael Kors, but they aren’t getting people with a lot of reach to talk about them.”

However, on Instagram alone, Kors rules the roost. A Goldman Sachs report showed that the brand received more likes and comments on the platform than any other brand. (The most-liked Instagram photo of the entire week? That honor goes to this shot from Victoria Beckham.)
