Today, in London, Prince William celebrated his inauguration as president of the British Sub-Aqua Club (a title previously held by his father) by donning a wetsuit, flippers, and snorkeling mask, then taking a few laps around a swimming pool. True, there were no fish or aquatic foliage to be seen, but the prince — who describes himself as a “fair weather diver” — did have the chance to race several 8-year-old girls (he lost). He also took the opportunity to address George’s potential as a future scuba aficionado: “At the moment bath time is quite painful, but hopefully donning a snorkel and mask might calm him down,” Will remarked, optimistically.
