The Wallack Firm, P.C.

When Robert Wallack founded The Wallack Firm, P.C. in 2007, he established a matrimonial firm that eschewed the standard, “cookie-cutter” approach to family law matters. “I am not your typical divorce lawyer and the lawyers who work for my firm aren’t either,” he says. “We are strategic, creative thinkers, both when it comes to reaching a negotiated settlement or taking a case to trial.”

Wallack’s unique approach, which has been described as energetic and bold, has made The Wallack Firm, P.C. one of the fastest-growing matrimonial boutique firms in New York City. Specializing in high-net-worth and high-profile cases, the firm has become known for its aggressive representation: “Our main goal is to obtain the best possible results for our clients,” Wallack says.

Wallack has handled cases involving some of the biggest names in movies, television, fashion, sports, music, and finance. He is considered an authority in the matrimonial law field, appearing regularly as a legal commentator on national television and as a contributor to The Huffington Post. Wallack also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Seton Hall University Law School and is a member of the faculty of Cardozo Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. And, he was recently named in Super Lawyers’ “New York Rising Stars.”

Wallack first became interested in family law when he worked for a matrimonial firm during law school. “I realized the profound impact that divorce lawyers have on their clients’ lives and the responsibility with which they’re entrusted to help these individuals through very difficult times,” he says.

After honing his trial skills as a prosecutor in the Manhattan D.A.’s office, Wallack joined the matrimonial department of a large firm before opening his own practice. “I love being able to put my own stamp on things,” he says. “Everything from the novel way we handle cases, down to the fresh style of our new offices is in keeping with my vision of how a progressive matrimonial law firm should be.”

Today, Wallack says he finds that the most rewarding aspect of his practice is helping his clients get to the “light at the end of the tunnel.” “Divorce is often a long, complicated, and trying process and there’s nothing more gratifying than seeing my clients achieve happiness in the end.”
