Attention, TV producers looking for non-scripted projects: Marc Jacobs wants his own reality show. “I’m really into my life right now,” he said at the Accessories Council’s ace Awards on November 5. What would his show be about? “Everything, all aspects of my life. All the drama, the intrigue, the sex, the romance, the work. I’m a shameless human being.” No specific plans are afoot yet, but Jacobs says that any show he did would have a lot of positive energy. “What really troubles me about some of these shows is that the entertainment comes from putting other people down,” he says. “That’s just sort of a sad commentary. I love The Osbournes and stuff like that—nothing is crazier than real life.” There are other things that do give him pause, though: He worries a TV crew “would make everyone here crazy at work.” But so what? “The whole thing’s sort of egotistical, I suppose,” he says. “But I do find myself entertaining.” Would it work? Reality TV and fashion vet Tim Gunn thinks so. “God knows Marc has a fascinating life, and he looks great. I’d watch.”
