When Peter Orszag announced that he was leaving the Obama White House to join a think tank, we had a feeling it wasn't the last we'd heard from him. And now our suspicions have been confirmed: We'll be hearing from him once or twice a month in the New York Times opinion pages. According to a Times press release, he "will cover a broad range of economic and domestic issues, including national fiscal policy, education, and health care." Apparently, what that Times opinion section needs is another liberal-leaning economist to cheerlead for progressive economic policies from the White House — or one who provides another visible tie between the two institutions.
