Glenn Beck May Be Going Blind
On the Salt Lake City stop of his "American Revival" tour over the weekend, the Fox News host revealed he recently saw a doctor who diagnosed him with macular dystrophy, a rare genetic disorder that causes a gradual loss of vision. "[The doctor said] ‘you could go blind in the next year. Or, you might not,'" Beck explained, "I said, 'did you just charge me a thousand dollars for knowing what I knew my whole life?'" He followed up the disclosure with a crack about health-care reform: "I went to the best doctor I could find, while I could still go to the best doctor I can find." [HuffPo]
