Michelle Obama Has an Interesting Racial History, Too
As is the case for many African-Americans, it has now been revealed that Michelle Obama's lineage includes a white forebear an unknown man who, with a slave named Melvinia, fathered Obama's great-great grandfather. This was discovered through the research of genealogist Megan Smolenyak in conjunction with the Times, in a project that fleshed out Obama's family tree stretching back generations.
