Caroline Kennedy Withdraws Senate Bid
Look! They're laughing at us!
Caroline Kennedy called David Paterson today, according to the Times, to let him know that she was no longer interested in replacing Hillary Clinton in the Senate. A source said the decision had much to do with the poor health of her uncle Ted Kennedy, with whom she is very close. Suddenly a group of about twenty grumpy New York pols are looking at a week that didn't necessarily peak on Tuesday. [NYT]
