Andrew Cuomo LITERALLY Cannot Believe That John Thain Is Thinking About a Bonus

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, cartoon-superhero vanquisher of Wall Street bonuses, was pissed when he read in this morning's Wall Street Journal that Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain was casting about for a $10 million bonus. He promptly dashed off a letter to Merrill's board, and once again revealed a style of writing that was curiously, and kind of awesomely, of the English-major-undergrad school: "Paying executives at Merrill millions each in 'performance' bonuses in this context would be oxymoronic to say the least and certainly a thumb in the eye to taxpayers," he wrote. "Enough is enough." Emphasis ours, because obviously he's not being facetious. [CNN Money]
