DDC Lab Opens on Mercer Street
The new DDC Lab.
The new DDC Lab store we previewed in August soft-opens this week. The sprawling space includes painted black floors, a grassy faux-lawn, and a real (though long since withered) tree planted among the high-tech apparel. The store's collection of PF Flyers sneakers dangles from a jungle-gym-like structure. Clothing in the back of the store includes bamboo tees and reflective climate-control jackets for men and leather pencil skirts, crinkly, shredded tanks, and metallic coats for women. Offbeat accessories include stingray-skin wallets and Nooka’s futuristic, vertical-display watches mixed in with more traditional crowd-pleasers like Dita sunglasses, denim totes, and chunky studded belts.
