Some fans of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise have been worried by Brett Ratner's attachment to the just-announced fourth movie in the series. "Ten-year-old kids, 12-year-old kids don’t really know the old Beverly Hills Cop," Ratner told MTV. "So it’s an opportunity to make it new for kids.” Does this mean that the famously R-rated series will be downgraded to a PG-13 or PG rating? After all, since 1994, when Beverly Hills Cop 3 was released, Murphy has made a name for himself with family comedies like The Nutty Professor and Doctor Doolittle. What will happen to the Detroit police detective we know and love?
Well, worry no more, Axel Foley fans! Just as we got the first look anywhere at Michael Bay's Transformers 2 screenplay, Vulture can exclusively reveal two pages* from Ratner's rewrite of Beverly Hills Cop 4, just finished days ago. We think we can safely say that the old Axel Foley magic … is back!

*Totally not fake! Nope!
